Background:
Placenta growth factor 2 (PlGF-2) is an isoform of PlGF1 and a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family. PlGF-2 has heparin binding properties and Neuropilin-1 is a receptor for PlGF-2.

Formulation
This recombinant protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in 35% acetonitrile (CH3CN) and 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA).
Purity
>97% by SDS-PAGE and analyzed by silver stain.
Storage and Stability
This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. Biological Activity
The biological activity of Human PlGF-2 was determined by its ability to bind rh-sFlt-1 in a functional ELISA. Recombinant human PlGF-2 can bind to immobilized rh-sFlt-1 (100ng/well) with a linear range at 0.3-10 ng/ml.
Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.
