Description
Specificity:
Rabbit Anti-Human TIRP recognizes an epitope near the C-terminus of human, mouse and rat TIRP. This polyclonal antibody was purified using affinity chromatography.
Background:
TIRP is a member of the Toll/interleukin-1 receptor (TIR) family, a group of proteins that include the Toll-like receptors (TLRs) (1-3). TLRs are signaling molecules that recognize different pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune responses (4). TIRP, along with other molecules such as TRIF, MAL, and MyD88, serves as an adaptor protein that allows for the interaction and activation of the IL-1R-associated kinase (IRAK) family, the subsequent activation of TNF receptor associated factor (TRAF)-6, and ultimately the activation of NF-κB (5). Expression of TIRP appears to be essential for TLR4 signalling (6).

Formulation
This polyclonal antibody is formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4 containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
Storage and Stability
This polyclonal antibody is stable for at least one week when stored at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
Reported Applications
IHC (NBF/Par.), WB, In vivo Depletion
Western Blotting: This antibody can be used to detect human, mouse and rat TIRP by Western blot analysis at a concentration of 0.5 - 2 µg/ml when used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, such as Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L)-Horseradish Peroxidase (Leinco Prod. No.: R1190), under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. The positive controls for Western blotting are Human Kidney Tissue Lysate (Leinco Prod. No.: H1409) Mouse Kidney Tissue Lysate (Leinco Prod. No.: M1017) and Rat Kidney Tissue Lysate (Leinco Prod. No.: R1013).
