Description
Specificity:
Goat Anti-Rat Interleukin-3β (IL-3β) recognizes Rat Interleukin-3β. This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody was purified using immobilized antigen agarose chromotography.
Background:
IL-3 is a hematopoietic growth factor that promotes the survival, differentiation and proliferation of committed progenitor cells of the megakaryocyte, granulocyte-macrophage, erythroid, eosinophil, basophil and mast cell lineages. Produced by T cells, mast cells and eosinophils, IL-3 enhances thrombopoieses, phagocytosis, and antibody-mediated cellular cytotoxicity. Its ability to activate monocytes suggests that IL-3 may have additional immunoregulatory roles. Many of the IL-3 activities depend upon co-stimulation with other cytokines. IL-3 is species-specific, variably glycosylated cytokine.

Purified Recombinant Rat IL-3β (>98%)
Formulation
This biotinylated antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody is aseptically filtered and lyophilized from PBS with no carrier proteins or preservatives added.
Reconstitution
Aseptically reconstitute this biotinylated antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody in sterile 1X PBS containing 0.1% BSA to a final concentration of 50 µg/ml.
Storage and Stability
This lyophilized biotinylated polyclonal antibody should be stored desiccated at -20°C. The reconstituted conjugate is stable for at least one month when stored at 2 - 8°C. For long term storage aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid More Than One Freeze Thaw Cycle.

Indirect ELISA, WB
Indirect ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.15 - 0.30 µg/ml with a suitable secondary reagent such as UltraAvidin™- Horseradish Peroxidase (HRPO) (Leinco Prod. No.: A106). The detection sensitivity for Rat IL-3β is approximately 0.2 ng/well.
Western Blotting: To detect Rat IL-3β by Western blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, such as UltraAvidin™- Horseradish Peroxidase (HRPO) (Leinco Prod. No.: A106), the detection limit for IL-3β is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
