Description
Specificity:
Anti-Human Kappa is specific for kappa light chains of human immunoglobulins. This antibody also recognizes free kappa light chains and Bence-Jones kappa light chains. It is not reactive with lambda light chains. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Antigen Distribution:
Approximately 50% of normal human B-lymphocytes express kappa light chains. B-cell leukemias may express either kappa or lambda light chains.

Formulation
This purified antibody is formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide as a preservative.
Storage and Stability
This antibody is stable when stored at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.
Reported Applications
ELISA Det, IHC (Frozen), FC
ELISA Detection: This antibody can be used as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA for detection of Human Kappa.
Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections: This antibody should give satisfactory staining results when used on frozen sections.
Flow Cytometry: Anti-Human Kappa can be used to enumerate B-lymphocytes expressing kappa light chains. Anti-Kappa may also be used to study B-cell leukemias or lymphomas in peripheral blood and tissue. It is recommended to use the indirect method for signal enhancement when enumerating cells expressing Kappa. A suggested method would be to stain cells expressing Kappa with Anti-Human Kappa at ≤1.0 ug per 1.0 X 10^6 cells in a 100 ul total staining volume, followed by Goat F(ab')2 Anti-Mouse IgG (H&L)-R-phycoerythrin (Leinco Prod. No.: M100).
