Contents:
This product consists of one vial of 100µl polyclonal rabbit antibodies (purified IgG fraction) against stickleback vitellogenin. The antibody is dissolved in 0.1 M Na-phosphate buffer, 0.15 M NaCl, 1% BSA, 12.3 mM Na-azide, pH 7.4.

Immunogen source:
Three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) vitellogenin purified from whole body homogenate of 17ß-estradiol induced fish.

Specificity:
The polyclonal antibody GA-306 binds with high affinity to vitellogenin from stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus). The antibody also cross-react with vitellogenin from rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), sheepshead minnow (Cyprinodon variegatus), cod (Gadus morhua), turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) and ballan wrasse (Labrus bergylta). The degree of cross-reactivity may differ between species and with the different methods employed.

Application:
The polyclonal antibody GA-306 is well suited for ELISA and western blot. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application.

Normal dilution range:
ELISA: 1:100 - 1:1000
Western blot: 1:100 - 1:1000
