The product consists of affinity-purified mouse monoclonal antibodies against vitellogenin from Gulf sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus desotoi). The antibody is dissolved in 0.1 M Na-phosphate, 0.15 M NaCl, 1% BSA, 12.5 mM Na-azide, pH 7.4

Immunogen source:
Vitellogenin purified from plasma of 17ß-estradiol treated Gulf sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus desotoi).

Specificity:
The monoclonal antibody ND-1H2 binds to vitellogenin from Gulf sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus desotoi). The antibody also cross-reacts with vitellogenin from lake sturgeon (Acipenser fulvescens). The degree of cross-reactivity may differ between species and with the methods employed.

Application:
ND-1H2 binds to vitellogenin from Gulf sturgeon in both ELISA and western blot. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application. Note: The antibody is dissolved in a buffer containing BSA, and is therefore not recommended to use for coating.

Normal dilution range:
ELISA: 1:100 - 1:1000
Western blot: 1:100 - 1:500
