The product consists of affinity-purified mouse monoclonal antibodies against vitellogenin from bird.

Immunogen source:
Mixture of Vitellogenin from Japanese quail (coturnix japonica), common tern (Sterna hirundo) and barn swallow (Hirundo rustica).

Specificity:
The monoclonal antibody ND-3G6 binds with high affinity to vitellogenin from Japanese quail (coturnix japonica), common tern (Sterna hirundo) and barn swallow (Hirundo rustica). The antibody also cross-reacts with vitellogenin from other bird species, including American kestrel (Falco sparverius), zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata) and domestic chicken (Gallus gallus). The degree of cross-reactivity differs between species and with the methods employed.

Application:
The monoclonal antibody ND-3G6 works well in both ELISA and western blot for a number of species. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application. Note: The antibody is dissolved in a buffer containing BSA, and is therefore not recommended to use for coating.

Normal dilution range:
ELISA: 1:100 - 1:1000
Western blot: 1:50 - 1:500
